Review:  Heather Webber combines a great suspence filled mystery, a casual romance, and a spunky main character that had me rooting for her in all aspects of the book!!! 

I am not usually a mystery reader, they tend to annoy me a great deal. With all the useless clues, and annoying detectives making annoying deductions, I'd rather stick to CSI, but this book changed my mind.  The reason I usually detest mystery and suspence books so much  is because I can usually predict the ending from a mile away. But in Truly Madly I still couldn't guess let alone believe the ending even a page after the huge revelation was revealed. It was completely unexpected and it didn't seem off or unrealistic, it pulled the book together and had me kicking myself for not guessing it sooner.

The romance in this book was fun to read about. You have that intially hot attraction between Lucy and Sean, and that building attraction between them throughout the book.  With unexpected occurences coming from Lucy's unusual ability invloving Sean, and the fact that Sean is a super hot former figher fighter, you can't help but love these two together.

I could really see Lucy grow and transform and become confortable in her own skin and with who she is. In the beginning of the book, I didn't think I would like Lucy's character at all. She was nice enough, but just such a pessimist. I mean in the beginning of the book, she never thought of her abilities as a gift, but more of a curse, adn she used that to pretty much justify everything in her life.  And the so called family curse that has been plauging her family since the beginning of their family tree seems to be the only thing she talks about. How do you get on with life if your letting the past control your future (wow, what a cliche thing to say, but true). I thought her pessimistic view on her life would annoy me throughout the book; it didn't. She went from thinking her abilities were what made her a huge freak to taking charge of a murder investigation and putting aside her family curse to have her own romantic experience. She really takes charge by the end of the book, and becomes a favorite character for me. 

Truly, Madly is a great read for all those looking for a light read that will leave an impact, and just a mystery suspence book, or romantic read. (Just so you guys know this isn't typically a Young Adult book, but I think it would still be a great read for Young Adult readers. There are little sexual refrences but nothing too graphic).

2010 New Year's Resolutions and Blogger Resolutions

What are you guy's resolutions?

I have so much plans for 2010. Goals for my life, ughh school, athletics, and especially for my baby blog I made this year.

Blogger Resolutions:
1. Post more. At least 4 posts a week!!!

2. Review all the books I read (or at least most of them). This seems really easy since I spend an hour after I read the book texting my oblivious and uninterested friends about the book, I can just channel that into my reviews.

3. New memes.

4. More interviews. Interviewing is so much fun. And since I see journalism as a potential career, I would love to do more interviews. Interviews with not only authors, but other bloggers, and anyone else I feel like baggering with questions!!!

5.  Plan and participate in a more events. So many things going on in the blogger world, and I find myself more of a spectater than a participate. I would like to change that!!!

6. Change Rating System!!!

*Edit*  Find a layout I won't hate and  will actually like to stick to completely.

2010 Resolutions:
 *Number 1* Most important: Find balance. I really need some balance in my life. Especially when it comes to school and sports. I have this nasty little habit of putting my sports before my academics. Every time im where im supposed to be with my grades, either volleyball, basketball, or track season starts up again and games that last until 11 don't go well with homework. I need to work on that!!! I see plenty of all nighters in my future.

 2. DON'T PROCRASTINATE. My weakness (this goes for blogging and school), It's going to be crazy not to procrastinate at all, but never for more than one day. No matter how far something is due for, I will start it within the first 24 hours.

3. Enjoy Life More!!!

4. Develope new workout routine (one that i can actually stick to).

5. Read or at least obtain all the books on my 2008-2009 wishlist. I have to create a new one for all the new sequels and debut books coming up 2010.

I hear this book really gets down with the nitty gritty of high school. I cant wait to read it, I've never read a book with such a real and harsh look into high school!!!

Review: Need is a mesmoririzing tale of fairies and shapeshifters coupled with a truly unique story of paranormal romance.

Zara was one of the most unique characters I have ever read about. She just gets weirder and more interesting with each page. First off dealing with the death of a parent, and then having her mother ship her off across the country to help her cope has to be one of the hardest things to deal with. To top it all off there is a mysterious man followig her cross country and stealing little boys from Maine. Zara finds solace from all these mishapts in her life by reciting phobias, a weird obsession of hers.  Zara is a strong herorine. With all the dangers placed in front of her and all the time trying to move on with her life past her father's death. She still stands strong throughout the pages, and is willing to sacrifice herself for the sake of her loved ones. Though sometimes I find myself yelling at the book for her reckless decsions, I mean who runs towards the scary voice calling your name in the woods, I know I don't.

The story pulls together very well. There is always a linkage. From discovering the true reason her mother sent her to Maine, who her stepfather real is, who her new love interest Nick real is, and the identity of the mysterious man who has been following her and leaving no trace except for gold dust. I loved the shy romance between Nick and Zara, it was so cute and dangerous at the same time as they find out the dark secrets they have been hiding from eachouther. So much mysterious creatures, new identity's, shocking discoveries, in every page. 

The ending pretty much pulls the book together, but one solution leads to a new string of problems that I suspect will be the basis of the sequal. I recommend this book to all fans of paranormal, romance, and mystery books.

Review: He's With Me by. Tamara Summers

Review:  He's With Me by. Tamara Summers is an incredibly cute light read that will keep you laughing and indentifying with the main character throughout the book.

This book was one of the cutest books I have ever read. All Lexie wants is for her brother's best friend Jake to see her for more than his best friends sister. And when he asks her to pretend to be his girlfriend in order to rid the advances of one of the school's evil popular girls, she thinks this is her chance. I loved Lexie throughout the book. She is an easy character to sympathize with. Even if you are that usually confident girl, there is always that one guy that can make you for get yourself for a while, and Lexie is the perfect example of this.   Jake was the perfect leading male. I found myself shouting at him for being so oblivious, but then I had to remember, he is a guy.

The book just got better and better as I read. I kept finding yourself wondering if they will actually end up together in the end. Or will her new semi- kind of love interest take Jake's place in Lexie's heart. There are so many bumps going along with this pretend relationship, that Lexie begins to lose hope that there could ever be a real relationship between the two. I laughed, I oowed, and mostly I awwed at how hilarious and cute this book was.

In the end this book was quick light read, with a cute ending to tie it all together. Everything about this book keeps you incapable of putting it down. I reccommend this book to all those who love a good romantic comedy, a hilarious book, and a light read!!!

Could the cover be any cuter!!! That looks so awesome. Is that even humanly possibly. Plus the rain is the perfect touch. Things always look more romantic in the rain. One of the mystery's of the world. Anywayz... This book sounds like its going to be just as good as Perfect Chemestry, I absolutely adored that book and I suspect I'll love this on just as much. Review: Dead is the New Black

When Daisy discovers that a vampire may be the culprit, she can't help but suspect head cheerleader Samantha Devereaux, who returned from summer break with a new look; Samantha appears a little . . . well, dead, and all the most popular kids at school are copying her style.

Is looking dead just another fashion trend for Samantha, or is there something 
more sinister going on? To find out, Daisy joins the cheerleading squad. 

Review: Dead is the New Black is a short but great read. When I picked up this book at my library, first off loved the title, but since it was so short, I anticipated a cute very light read. Although this book is small it packs a huge punch, that you will have no choice but to go pick up the rest of these books in a hurry!!!

The main thing I loved about this book was how the mystery and suspence never stopped. Marlene Perez adds a new elements throughout the book keeping you guessing and trying to figure out who did it before the main character. Daisy comes from a family of phycics, and being the only non-phycic she really wants to find a way to help her mom with the new case. When a bunch girls from the cheerleading squad at her school start coming on with mysterious illnesses, she decides to there's only one thing she can do to help; infiltrate. I loved Daisy throughout the book. She was a likeable character, althought I find a lot of her choices a little reckless, and daring, but they actually made me like her more.

The plot for this book was fast paced, but not rushed. Along with the attacks going on Daisy has to worry about her sister dating a werewolf, her mom still searching for their missing father whom Daisy is convinced ran off with another woman, and her new best friend who seems to be becoming more than a best friend. But all elements were pieced together tastefully. The author keeps you guessing and trying to decipher the clues, as a good suspence book should. Overall it was a very enjoyable read.

I dont usually read suspence, but I cant deny anything paranormal, and this book fit the two together perfectly. It had the mystery, and suspence, accompanied with a little romance on the side. This book was really an interesting read, and it was the perfect set up for the next book. I can tell the next books in the series will be even better now that all the characters have solid roles and seem more developed.

The only thing I didnt really like about the book was that there seemed to be a lack of setting development. I couldn't really understand how one minute her town is just the typical small town, and the second minute the news is reporting there is a soul life sucking vampire is on the loose and no one really gives it a second thought. I couldn't really understand how the paranomal element just seemed to fit in too perfectly without any speculation.

The ending of the book was good. The mystery was resolved but I stilled had more questions that I wanted answered which I suspect will be done in the next books!!!

I reccommend  this book to all fans of suspence, mystery, paranormal, romance, and a quick read.

Waiting On Wednesday 6

The sequal to The Pace by Shelena Shorts. If you have not read the first book, you have to. I mean you really really do, it is awesome, one of my all time favorites. She just released the cover of the next book in the series, The Broken Lake. I love it, I love it , I love it!!! It is a beautiful cover and it compliments the cover for the first book ( below The Broken Lake cover) so well. Can't you just imagine how they'll look side by side on your bookshelf. Oh the beauty. Trailer Tuesday

I've been waiting to read Leviathan for a long time. I have Scott Westerfeld to thank for my ever growing book obsession. I can't wait to read this book. I was at Barnes and Noble today and I saw it on the shelf. It looked so pretty just sitting there in its nice looking hardcover, but alas, 10 dollars just wasn't enough today!!!
